The raglan sleeve, named after Lord John FitzRoy Somerset, or Lord Raglan, gained, prominence for its unique design following the Battle of Waterloo, where Lord Raglan lost his arm. Renowned for allowing greater arm movement, this sleeve style became an instant favorite. Although officially recognized in 1864, its enduring appeal spans generations.
